Cosmetics brand boosts creative collaboration
ProofHQ eliminated the paper and enhanced team collaboration, resulting in increased productivity and quicker time-to-market.
Background
Bare Escentuals needed to eliminate the inefficiencies of hardcopy proofing.
Bare Escentuals is a popular cosmetics company known for producing the number one selling brand on the QVC home shopping channel. The demands of a fast-paced cosmetics market became too much for their paper-based approach to proofing. Collaboration suffered and the inefficiency in the process resulted in missed deadlines and a stressful workflow.
The company began looking for an online system that would free them from their antiquated proofing process and improve the creative collaboration between team members. Ease of use was essential since the busy team could not afford to struggle with a lengthy learning curve and an overly complicated system.
“We had to over-communicate to get our job done. Now it's a lot less hand-holding and we can take on more projects at once since we have a visibility into the projects.” Andrea McCulloch, traffic coordinator
Solution
Online proofing made the process more efficient and enhanced team collaboration.
“We route somewhere between 35 and 60 projects at any given time and passing paper folders between each other was super-inefficient,” says Andrea McCulloch, traffic coordinator for Bare Escentuals. “We were printing out round after round of multiple changes on every piece of packaging and marketing collateral. ProofHQ gets projects through much quicker.”
Results
More efficient workflow eliminates missed deadlines and bolsters productivity.
Bare Escentuals reduced the time required to proof a project by 50 percent using ProofHQ. Team collaboration has improved since everyone is looking at the project at the same time. As a result, the creative team is more productive and is able to take on more projects. “Routing hardcopy is really old-school,” says McCulloch. “ProofHQ is a big time saver. I can't imagine using printouts anymore.”
