Measuring in pixels, inches and millimeters
The measure tool on the proof page now includes the ability to measure in inches and millimeters.
These additional options are available for files where the file dimensions are known e.g. PDF and Microsoft Office documents. For other files types where the file doues not have a physical dimension the measurement is in pixels only.
Attachments on Comments
We have just added a new feature that allows you to add attachments to comments. This has been requested by many clients and has a huge range of uses. For example, reviewers can upload alternative text as a Word doc, or alternative images. Proof owners can upload reference documents or brand guidelines.
ProofHQ Meetup, Zakopane, Poland
We had one of our quarterly team gatherings, this time at Hotel Marilor in Zakopane in the south of Poland.
Zakopane is a pretty town in the Tatra mountains in the south of Poland. At least we think it was pretty, because we had fog and rain the whole time and quite honestly couldn’t see much of anything at all.
As usual, the team gathered from all points of the compass; the UK, Poland and Qatar.

Despite the weather we had a great time, meeting some team members in person for the first time, having a series of important strategy discussions and enjoying “face time”. The hotel put on an impressive BBQ for us on the final evening…
…and we did some serious damage to the hotel’s humidor.

We are hiring a marketing manager to join our team.
We are looking for a smart, social-media savvy marketing manager who can help us with a wide range of marketing activity. They will:
- Manage our demand generation, website and online presence (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc)
- Develop and execute demand generation plan
- Create and execute a website development plan
- Execute product launches and releases
- Develop marketing automation
- Manage SEO, PPC and online ads
- Create webcasts
- Create white papers, case studies and sales collateral.
Yes, yes, we know that this is a very long list of To Do’s, but ProofHQ is growing so fast that we need to start covering these bases quickly and efficiently.
We are looking for someone with start-up/early stage marketing experience, ideally in B2B and ideally SaaS. We need someone who is scrappy and understands what it takes to work in an early stage company with all of the pivots and changes of direction that involves.
The person will work from home, so location is really not important. They can be in North America, the UK, Europe - in fact anywhere. The important thing is that they are self-motivated enough to get on with the job by Skype, email, GoToMeeting and, of course, ProofHQ!
