Improved Basecamp Integration
If you are using Basecamp to manage web or graphic design, you might be interested in an update to ProofHQ’s integration with Basecamp. Here are the recent updates:
.
There is now single sign on between Basecamp and ProofHQ. This streamlines how you get from proofs embedded in Basecamp projects to the full proof viewer in ProofHQ. Open this movie to see how it works (go to the fourth section).
.
Comments and discussions on proofs in ProofHQ are now copied into the message comments in Basecamp. This means that Basecamp has a copy of the comments and replies that have been added to a proof.
.
Proofs can now be made “Private” in Basecamp so that external team members (i.e. clients) can’t see them. This is perfect is you have a review process that has internal team members review a proof before the client sees it. (Don’t forget that if you add clients to later versions of the proof, the earlier internal verions will still be hidden from them)
.
There is now just a single email notification when a proof is created. (before there were up to three which was a pain) The email contains both a link taking the user directly to the proof, and a link taking the user to the Basecamp project.
.
There is more about the integration with Basecamp on our website and an updated demo movie describing the changes.
