Changes to Basecamp affecting ProofHQ users

We wanted to give you a heads up about a change made to the ProofHQ and Basecamp integration.

Last month, 37signals (the team behind Basecamp) made the switch to a new login system called 37signals ID. Visit the 37signals website to learn more about 37signals ID. What this means for ProofHQ users is that if you use the Basecamp integration, you may need to update your info within ProofHQ. Here’s how you can ensure your account is updated.

  • Go to your Basecamp account and log in.If you haven’t done so, you will be prompted to create a new 37signals ID.
  • If your new 37signals ID and password differ from your original Basecamp ID and password, you will need to change your settings within ProofHQ.
  • To do this, log in to your ProofHQ account.
  • Click on ‘Account Settings’ in the left pane.
  • Go down the page to the Basecamp section.
  • Under Username and Password, enter your new 37signals ID information and click the ‘Save’ button.
  • Logout of ProofHQ and login again for the change to take effect.
  • If you have several users in your ProofHQ account using Basecamp, then each user will have to do this as well.

This should get you back up and running with the ProofHQ and Basecamp integration.

UPDATE:  If this doesn’t work initially, you may need to add your new Basecamp details in your personal settings as well as your account settings.
