ProofHQ Updates This Week
Over the next few weeks we have some big news and big new releases. However, small enhancements and bug fixes continue.
We have released a series of small updates this week:
Bulk delete Contacts
We have added checkboxes to the Contacts list so you can bulk-delete contacts. Thanks Matt for raising this.

Default proof Owner role
We have added an account setting so that Admins can specify a default role for proof owners. Before now proof owners would be a “Reviewer” so they could only make comments. Now you can specify that they automatically have any of the roles available. This will make workflow that involves the proof owner much more streamlined.
To set this default go to Account settings and then Settings and then Proof Defaults.

Default proof Deadline
We have added an account setting so that Admins can specify a default proof deadline for every proof created. This is calculated as the creation date and time of the proof plus XX business days. This can be edited by the person creating the proof. It is extremely useful for companies turning around artwork changes to agreed deadlines. Thanks Taranjeet.
To set this default go to Account settings and then Settings and then Proof Defaults.

Decision emails from the decision-maker
The “From” address of Decision emails is now the person making the decision, not the proof owner.

Changing proof owner - bulk edit
We have added “Change Owner” as an option to the More Actions menu. This means that you can bulk-edit the owner of multiple proofs at the same time by clicking checkboxes of the proofs that you want to change the owner for and using the Change Owner option.

Dashboard - Last 10 Items sorting
The sorting function on the Last 10 Items list on the Dashboard now works correctly. Just click on the column headers to sort by column.

Send File function - email working again
The Send File function on the proof page sends an email with a link to the recipient to download the original file. The email was not being sent. It is now fixed.

Basecamp “No categories” error
There was an error in the Basecamp integration if you had a Basecamp account with no message categories. This resulted in proofs not being embedded in Basecamp. This is now fixed and proofs will be embedded even if you have no categories set up in Basecamp.

Basecamp users Roles
If you added a person to a proof using Basecamp any default role that you had set up for that person would be ignored and a role of Read Only would be used. This has been fixed so that default roles from ProofHQ contacts will be used even if the person is added via the Basecamp link.

Page Height and the Sidebar
There was a problem with the bottom of the sidebar being cut-off if the page being viewed had a smal amount of content. Pages will now expand so that teh sidebar can be seen in full.

New proof page - data being lost
There was a problem with data being deleted from the New Proof page if there was an error on one of the fields. Fixed.
