How to use the Proof details page

The Proof details page has recently been enhanced and given a new look. This page is where it all happens: Managing, sharing and adjusting settings for your proof. We created this guide to help you get to know your way around it quickly and find your favorite functions and vital information.

How to access the Proof details page

You can get to the Proof details page in two ways:

  • From any list view page (e.g. All items) by choosing View proof details (2) in the Actions menu (1)

  • From the Home button (1) in the Proof viewer

Sections

The Proof details page has the following sections:

  1. Breadcrumb navigation
  2. Proof name
  3. Version tabs
  4. Action buttons
  5. Details
  6. Workflow
  7. More sharing options
  8. Settings
  9. Activity
  10. Messages

Let’s look at these sections in more detail:

1. Breadcrumb navigation

This shows you where the proof is located and the folder structure it resides in.

2. Proof name

This is the name of the proof. If you have the correct permissions, you can edit this by clicking on it and using inline editing to change it. When you have finished, your changes will be saved automatically.

3.  Version tabs

Here you can switch between the proof’s versions or click the ‘+’ tab to create a new version of the proof.

4. Action buttons

The buttons in this section are key to managing your proof:

  • Share this version
  • Download original
  • Print comments
  • Export to Excel
  • Copy this version
  • Lock
  • Change previous version
  • Go to proof
  • Tags
  • Move to
  • New version
  • Archive
  • Delete

5. Details

Here are the main details about the proof. If you have the correct permissions, you can edit some of these by clicking on them:

  • Folder that the proof has been added to and the number of people who the folder has been shared. You can also see the folder share list by clicking the “see the list” link.
  • Filename
  • Owner
  • Created (date the proof was uploaded)
  • State
  • ID

6. Workflow

Here you can view details of who the proof has been shared with, deadlines, reviewer progress, decisions and many more. If you have the correct permissions, you can edit these.

7. More sharing settings

In the More sharing options section you can enable or copy the Proof URL and Embed code.

8. Settings

In this section you can manage settings that relate to locking the proof, secure proofing, decisions, download and subscriptions. You will need edit rights on the proof to be able to change these.

9. Activity

This section shows you a list of all the actions performed on the proof, in date order, providing an audit trail for the proof.

10. Messages

In the Messages section you can view details of all email activity for the proof.
