Following the time-saving enhancements to ProofHQ that we released last weekend, we are publishing a series of blog posts about how to use the redesigned pages.
Key changes included the ability to drag-and-drop to upload files and a redesigned Upload file page.
Below is a step-by-step tutorial for how to upload a file with the new enhancements.
Step-by-step tutorial
To upload a new file:
- Click the down arrow on the New button (1) in the sidebar
- Choose Upload file (2)
- The New file page will appear

New file page
The New file page has the following sections:
- Upload files
- Share
- Organise
NB: If a file is uploaded to a Folder, any people that the folder has been shared with will appear automatically in the sharing list next to the folder name in the Organise section on the New file page.
- Upload section
- Share section
- Notify people by email, add a custom message
- Organise section
- View sharing list
- Save
Upload
Click on the Select files button to upload a file or drag and drop files into the blue box. Repeat to add as many files as you like – the Select files button will be named Select more files when one or more files have been selected already. The files you upload will appear as individual files in your account, rather than one merged file.
Share
In this section you can share the file with contacts, groups and/or partners. You can also add a subject and message which will be shown in the email received by the recipient(s) of the file.
Organise
In this section you can:
- Select a folder to add the file to
- Create a new folder to add the file to
- View people the file will be shared with using the link next to the folder name
- Apply a tag to the file
