We are looking for a smart, talented user interface engineer to join our hard-working team.
This is a great opportunity to update and improve a popular web application with a strong following in the design and marketing community globally.
You will work closely with our lead developer and our lead designer to update and improve the GUI. This job is to deliver a contemporary application interface that is intuitive, responsive and, dare we say it, fun to use. You need to be a team player, willing to get your sleeves rolled up and willing wrestle an existing basic GUI into good order. You must have an eye for detail, a head for analytical thinking and a heart for great, user-centric design. You will also participate in usability testing with clients, which is mostly fun, occasionally embarrassing!
MOST importantly you need to love life in a bootstrapped start-up and not be fazed by the rapid changes that are part of start-up business.
You will have the following skills:
- Excellent knowledge of XHTML and CSS 2.x
- Excellent knowledge of javascript and jQuery
- Knowledge of PHP frameworks (project based on Symfony)
- Good written and spoken English.
The following would be an advantage:
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming in PHP 5.x
- Experience with agile development practices
- Fondness for cats.

- Create white papers, case studies and sales collateral.

We are looking for someone with start-up/early stage marketing experience, ideally in B2B and ideally SaaS. We need someone who is scrappy and understands what it takes to work in an early stage company with all of the pivots and changes of direction that involves.
The person will work from home, so location is really not important. They can be in North America, the UK, Europe – in fact anywhere. The important thing is that they are self-motivated enough to get on with the job by Skype, email, GoToMeeting and, of course, ProofHQ!
