Download proof with comments

Is there any option/api to download proof with comments?

    Adnan,

Thank you for the question. You can print a thumbnail summary of the proof (including all comments) by clicking on the Print Comments button in the main tools area of the Proof Viewer. You can also access this summary via the Actions menu for the proof and the proof details page from within the web application.

Information on the Print Comments functionality can be found here: http://help.proofhq.com/printing-proofs#TOC-Print-Comments-Page

Information on the Proof Details functionality can be found here: http://help.proofhq.com/phq-proofs#TOC-Proof-Details-page

I will check to see if we have this available through the API and update you as soon as I have more information.

    Regards,
    John Schuller

    Hi Adnan

The getProofComments() method will allow you to download the comments associated with a Proof. More information can be found in our API documentation
    http://api.proofhq.com/home/proofs/getproofcomments

We currently don't have a method to download the proof but we'll be releasing an update to the system this coming weekend (16th of June) which will introduce a method, getFileDownloadLink() with this functionality

    Regards,
    Etienne

My requirement was to Download proof with embedding comments inside the document/pdf. I want to see the comments when I open the pdf in acrobat reader. Is this option available in ProofHQ?

  • John June 2012

    Adnan,

We allow for the download of the original file as well as a download of the "Print Comments" report. The "Print Comments" report allows you to view thumbnail images of the proof with the comments and markups.

Please let me know if you have any questions on this.

    Thanks!
    John

Would it be possible to include the decision status of the proof in the search results, at present if you want to search for a proof and see its current decision you have to open it or click on the options and go to the proof detail page, which takes time if you just want to do a quick search and see the status
I'm unclear on the current functionality about automatic reminders. I've read some old posts that mention that reminders were disabled because they were spammy and then one post from about a year ago where some reminder functionality was going to be added back. What is the current status of reminders? I really liked the suggestion of reminders based on whether the file has or has not been opened. It looks like this was added to the roadmap but I don't see any evidence of reminders in the options. At a minimum, we need one of the following: -Default reminders set under preferences with reminders going out on a timeframe that we specify. -or- -Set a reminder schedule when the proof is made. -or- -Ability to select multiple proofs and send reminders in bulk. (i.e. not to need to click into each proof).
Would it be possible for the hourly summaries to mention if a new version of the proof has been created within the past hour. As the proof created emails come whenever the proof is uploaded, people on hourly summaries will get this notification before they get the summary and they may miss that the new version has been created as there is no mention of it on the summary
Is there a way to change the type size in the notification emails? Currently it is very small for custom comments being added on upload. Any default text is ok. Or is this an email program setting? Thanks.
Wow, very impressed with proofhq's features so far. There is one major feature that is missing in my opinion that I have used in another solution, and that is the ability to host a live review session for video. During a live review, everyone with access should be able to go to the review and an option to start a "presentation mode" should be enabled. Once the presentation mode is started, the person who is the "presenter" controls the progression of the video, and the video everyone is viewing starts and stops in the same frame. This way, particularly with video, everyone can be looking at the same thing and discuss on a conference call.
